RCS Digital Printing offers leaflet printing in a variety of options to suit many situations. Printed leaflets are a popular promotional item used for marketing & advertising or supplementary information to products and services. Leaflets are cost-effective and easily customised, making them a popular choice for various situations including fundraisers, live events, charity runs, new product launches & much more. Printed leaflets also allow communication of lots of info in a compact and easily read format.
Printed leaflets are available in creased and folded formats, where creased leaflets are supplied flat and allowing the client to fold them as required as well as reducing the cost. Sizes for leaflet printing come in the most useful flat sizes like A3, A4, 444x210mm and 396x210mm. These allow for multiple configurations once folded for finished sizes such as A5, 1/3 A3, 1/3 A4, ¼ A4 etc. Different paper weights are also available depending on the use and include 170gsm, 300gsm and 400gsm. Finishes include coated, silk, gloss and even matt finish when introducing lamination to the finishing process. Folding options for leaflet printing from RCS Digital Printing include single central crease/fold, gate fold, Z-fold, C-fold. A half-fold or centre fold leaflet is a simple form of leaflet print finishing, taking the flat overall size of the leaflet and folding it evenly once to achieve the finished size. For example, an A4 leaflet folded to A5 or an A3 leaflet folded to A4. Half folds or centre creases can be made on either the horizontal or vertical axis. Commonly known as a roll fold, a C-fold leaflet will have 6 or 8 pages depending on the flat leaflet size. A4 leaflets, for example, would usually have three pages or sections on each side while a 396x210mm leaflet would have 4. A Z-Fold leaflet can also be known as an accordion or concertina fold and appear as they sound. While not the most common of leaflets RCS supply they have many uses and are commonly found as takeaway menus or table menus in heavier card stock due to them being freestanding. A leaflet with a Gate fold as the name suggests appears like a double gate where the two front pages or sections are hinged on the back panel and allow for some exciting and creative leaflet design opportunities. Leaflet printing finishes include silk, which is a smooth finish with a satin appearance falling between matt and gloss. Gloss leaflets provide a shiny finish and are most used with vibrant artwork to give that extra pop. Leaflet design plays an essential roll in the impact your leaflet has. It can also be a tricky process, and there RCS has a template page to make things easier for the client if they do not have in house design and want to design their own leaflets.
